EXTRAÑAS FORMAS DE LUCHAR
Esta semana os quiero recomendar dos films, mejor dicho, uno y medio, por el mismo tiempo.
La primera que os quiero recomendar, y que vale mucho la pena ver en pantalla grande, es el mediometraje de Pedro Almodóvar “Extraña forma de vida” protagonizado por Ethan Hawke y Pedro Pascal.
Un western realizado con lo mejor de cada casa.
Producida por la firma de moda Saint Lauren, se nota en el vestuario, y El Deseo S.A. Almodóvar tiene experiencia en el cine, para tratar cualquier género.
Humaniza y ennoblece al western, humanizándolo de manera crepuscular…
Y un punto de locura.
Rechazó dirigir “Brokeback mountain”, quizás porque no era el momento, para realizar 31 minutos extraordinarios, reconfigurando la mitología del más elemental de los géneros cinematográficos, el western. Un film que es un homenaje al cine de vaqueros, donde se pueden apreciar esos guiños a películas míticas cómo “El hombre que mató a Liberty Wallace”, “El club social de Cheyenne”, “Centauros del desierto” o “Tres padrinos” entre otros.
En definitiva, Extraña forma de vida es una ofrenda delicada a todos los que hicieron cine antes e incluso al propio cine que tanto nos ha dado. Es cine, es épica, es Almodóvar.
La segunda que os quiero recomendar es “La pecera” una coproducción entre Puerto Rico y España que pasó por el pasado festival de cine de Málaga y que dio el salto al festival de Sundance.
Debut de Glorimar Marrero Sánchez en el largometraje, para realizar un descomunal trabajo que transmite una energía desafiante y rebelde.
La pecera extrae belleza y dolor al mirar al frente, gracias al trabajo de su protagonista, Isel Rodríguez, que de manera tierna y cruda, pero también tierna, se enfrenta a la enfermedad del cuerpo en paralelo con la devastadora extensión a los fondos marinos de Vieques, al este de la capital puertorriqueña.
La colonización de una isla, como metáfora de la colonización del cuerpo, en un film de duelo filio maternal muy femenino.
